Turning freelance was about getting away from agency politics, which also meant leaving the expensive awards culture behind. I wanted to write great copy directly for clients, design consultancies and offer cover to ad agencies. My business has expanded into developing brand stories and tone of voice for clients.

My quality remains as award-winning as ever. My debut novel, BLACK SNOW FALLING (Scotland Street Press 2018), has been nominated for three literary fiction prizes.
